The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest of the seven wonders of the world and the only one that still exists, aside from being the largest of the pyramids, it was built under the order of the pharaoh of the fourth dynasty of Ancient Egypt Khufu. The architect of this work was Hemiunu.
The estimated date of completion of construction of the Great Pyramid is about 2570 a. C., the first and largest of the three great pyramids of Giza Necropolis, on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. It was the tallest building until the fourteenth century being overtaken by the spire of Lincoln Cathedral, England and the highest stone building in the world well into the nineteenth century, then being overcome by the needle St. Nikolai Church in Hamburg.
